ID Card This Could Save Your Life
by Earl Jones
After your helmet, the single most important thing you
can carry on your bike is some form of identification.
When Jim Kimmel suffered his unfortunate tragedy, those
trying to help Jim discovered he had carried no ID and
hence did not know whom to contact. Thank goodness, Jim
was with folks who knew him. What would have happened had
Jim been riding with strangers, out of town or alone?
Equally important to whom to contact is information
EMS personnel need to know (allergies, blood type, etc.).
Clip this form and have it laminated and keep it in your
bike bag or somewhere on your person where others can find
it in case of emergency. If you need additional copies,
contact Earl Jones, LBC President.
