Bardstown, Here we Come!

To Bardstown and Back! Team OKHT is rockin' and rollin' with plans for
the Old Kentucky Home Tour September 9-10, 2000. The LBC is pleased to
welcome our two Supporting Sponsors for the 2000 OKHT: Buffalo Trace
Distillers (www.buffalotrace.com)
and Scheller's Fitness & Cycling.
Hot news! The Bardstown High School will serve as the overnight
headquarters. Arriving in Bardstown on Saturday, riders will be greeted by the
jammin' sounds of Dr. Hemiola and the Blues Activators. Kick back and relax
after your ride, or get off that bike and dance!
Cool rides! Millennium Sport and Import have graciously agreed to
sponsor carriage rides in and around Bardstown for all registered riders.
Way to go, Cheryl and Bob Brawner!
Yummy! Saturday evening will feature a dinner at the school
catered by the Olive Garden ($9.50 per person) and a presentation in the
school auditorium of Saturday's ride highlights. Door prizes! Fabulous door
prizes!
FLASH! The Old Kentucky Home Tour welcomes legendary bike racer
and coach, Chris Carmichael, voted 1999 USOC Coach of the year. Chris, in
conjunction with Polar Heart Rate Monitors will be delivering a free
seminar on heart rate training Saturday evening after dinner. Don't miss
this one!
Register! Brochures have been mailed or may be picked up at local
bike shops and sponsoring establishments.
Please register as soon as possible. You don't want to miss out on this
year's fabulous ride. Be sure to check off the boxes for dinner, merchandise,
club membership and a $1.50 donation to the LAB. Visit it all at

Wear it! Baseball caps sporting Marilyn Motsch's way cool
cyclo-strummer logo are available now for $15. Call Pennie Dubarry at 263-7215
for information on purchasing merchandise.
Volunteers! You'll get a T-shirt! Team OKHT needs volunteers
willing to help with this year's ride. There is plenty to do right now and
volunteering doesn't mean you can't ride the ride. Call Jane Tyler 897-3786
or email info@okht.org. If you don't
volunteer, you'll find out later how much fun we had without you, plus we'll
have T-shirts and you won't!
