September 2005

Dear LBC members,

I am writing to you today to officially tender my resignation as Director of the Old Kentucky Home Tour effective Monday, September 12, 2005.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this club and all the people I’ve encountered in my five years with the tour. The initiative and leadership of the volunteers has taken the tour to a new level.

I will be happy to train my replacement (as soon as that person is announced) and do anything I can to make the transition smoother. I appreciated all of the personal and professional advice I have received over the years from our esteemed president Earl Jones, club treasurer Jim Tretter, and everyone else who has been involved in the tour in the past and has made it what it is today.

I’m sure the tour will carry on as it has for 28 years but with new faces and new changes.

It’s my hope that I can spend more time on my career, with my family and enjoy more time on my bike as I close this chapter in my life. Thanks for everything.
