2004 Kentuckiana Spring Classic Series

The multi-race Spring Classic Series (SCS) is promoted by the Louisville Bicycle Club Racing Team and Rapid Transit Cycling Team.

  • Promoters reserves the right to lengthen, shorten, modify, cancel or combine races and/or prize list if insufficient entries or bad weather. If less than 5 in a category, races will be combined.
  • All USCF rules apply. You must present a valid license to enter a USCF race. One-day licenses may be purchased for $5 at registration.
  • Helmets are required.
  • Road races will be "open" which means that no public thoroughfares will be closed during the races. Riders are expected to be cognizant and courteous to motorists.
  • Start times are on Eastern TimeEastern Standard Time for all races up to and including April 3rd; Eastern Daylight Time for the April 24th race.
  • Riders will be charged $1 for their initial SCS number. Your number should be used for the entire series.
  • Scoring for Series General Classification will conform to USCF Rule 4C3 PDF document
4C3. Individual Points Classification.

(a) Placings in the points classification shall be determined by adding the points awarded at each stage. If the race regulations do not specify a different scale of points, the following shall apply to the 1st to 15th places respectively in all except time trial stages: 25, 20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point. In time trial stages, the following points scale shall apply to the first to tenth places respectively: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point.

(b) In order to qualify for a points classification prize, a rider must have completed the race.

(c) If two or more riders have an equal number of points by the end of the last stage, the order shall be determined by the number of stages in which each rider finished first, then second and so forth, until the greater number of places awarded to one or other of the riders determines the final placings.
