LBC Received STAR Award from BIAK

Many of you are aware that the LBC has partnered with BIAK (Brain Injury Association of Kentucky) for our annual Old Kentucky Home Tour (OKHT) bicycle ride for the past few years. BIAK serves those affected by brain injury through advocacy, education, prevention, research, service and support. Both BIAK and the LBC share a strong passion for preventing brain injury through the use of helmets and the LBC has been pleased to share our OKHT financial success with such an worthy organization.

In addition to donations directly from OKHT participants and a significant portion of the OKHT ride profits, BIAK has received all monies from the OKHT raffle for the bicycle donated by Scheller's Fitness & Cycling, one of our major OKHT sponsors.

On May 10, we attended the BIAK Annual Meeting representing the LBC and were presented their STAR Award “... with our sincere appreciation of your personal commitment, dedication, and efforts on behalf of brain injury survivors and their families.” Please continue to support this very worthwhile cause in our upcoming OKHT 2005.
