JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes
May 13-16 2004
This spring the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation will host a spectacular
bike ride in
Monterey, Calif. Open to families, individuals, corporations, bicycle
clubs and teams, the Ride to Cure
Diabetes is a three-day adventure featuring an exhilarating
one-day ride through the stunning scenery of the Monterey
Peninsula. Variable route distances are geared toward both the
seasoned rider and those new to the sport. Riders will navigate
the rolling hills of Fort Ord, pass by historic Fisherman’s Wharf
and Cannery Row, and pedal through beautiful Carmel. It’s a
cycling experience like no other. Most importantly, you’ll have
the reward of having made a significant contribution to finding a
cure for diabetes.
In exchange for your reaching a minimum fundraising goal,
JDRF will handle all necessary aspects of the ride to ensure a
fantastic, first-class experience. The Ride to Cure Diabetes will
provide the following to each rider:
- Round trip airfare to the ride location
- Three nights at the Hyatt Regency Monterey
- Transportation to and from the airport
- All bike transportation and maintenance during the ride
- Pre- and post-ride parties and dinners
- Ride to Cure Diabetes Jersey and T-shirt
- Scheduled training rides and events
For more information, or to sign up for the ride, please contact
Susan Ormsby at JDRF at (502) 485-9397 or via e-mail at
sormsby@jdrf.org.
