Skills Drills Sessions will return on the five Thursday evenings during August. As usual, Skills Drills will be held at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park (Freys Hill Road off of Westport Road) at 6:30 pm.
The first Thursday, August 1st, will cover the following topics:
body position on the bike riding in a straight line looking back while riding signaling to traffic steering through corners double pace-lines The second session, August 8th, will cover:
what to do if you are about to crash review of steering, and looking back while riding panic-braking rock and hole dodging single pace-linesThe third session, August 15th, will cover:
review panic braking, and rock-dodging bunny-hopping counter steering single or rotating pace-lines The fourth session, August 22nd, will cover:
review of rock dodging, and counter steering what to do if you are about to crash shoulder touching and bumping pace-lines and echelons The fifth session, August 29th, will cover:
review of body position, bunny-hopping, panic-braking, and counter steering wheel touching (maybe even Slow Race!) pace-lines and echelons Every Louisville Bicycle Club member is welcome to come and practice new skills, under the supervision of the Coaching Staff.
